The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League transitions into its second phase this weekend, following a highly competitive first round that defined the 2025/26 season’s early trajectory.

Across 66 matches, the league saw a total of 155 goals, maintaining a steady scoring rate of 2.3 goals per game—a metric that suggests a healthy equilibrium between aggressive forward play and disciplined defensive structures.

While home teams leveraged their familiar environments to secure 27 wins and 86 goals, visiting sides proved resilient, snatching 17 wins and 69 goals of their own. Interestingly, scoring peaked during Matchday 3 with 21 goals but dipped significantly by Matchday 11 to just 10.

Individual excellence was a highlight, marked by 15 braces and two hat-tricks, yet the 49 clean sheets recorded prove that defensive organization remains a cornerstone of the league’s current tactical evolution.
