Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has spoken out following his suspension by Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars.

The club confirmed a three-month suspension for the midfielder over misconduct and absenteeism from duty.

In a statement, Aucho defended his professional record, saying he has always conducted himself with respect and discipline throughout his career.

β€œI have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline. In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player,” he said.

Addressing supporters, the Uganda Cranes skipper added: β€œTo my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support.”

In a separate decision, the club also suspended goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for three months to allow investigations into allegations of match-fixing.

Aucho who joined Singida in August last year, after leaving Young Africans where he won four Tanzanian Premier League titles.
