    Semifinals
    •Esperance Vs Mamelodi Sundowns
    •AS FAR Vs RS Berkane

The CAF Champions League semifinals puzzle is now complete after the conclusion of the quarterfinals on Sunday.

Mamelodi Sundowns, despite suffering a 2-0 defeat to Stade Malien in the second leg, progressed on 3-2 aggregate victory.

Taddeus Nkeng and Haman Mandjan scored a goal each for the Malian side but the effort proved not enough in a game Sundowns finished a man down after Aubrey Modiba received a straight red card in closing stages.

The South African side who won 3-0 in the first-leg, registers a fourth consecutive semi-final appearance but havent won this competition since 2016 when they beat Zamalek.

They were beaten in the final last year by Pyramids and will be going for another final when they take on Tunisian giants Esperance in the semifinals.

Esperance the other hand, stunned record winners and Egyptian giants Al Ahly, to win the clash 4-2 pm aggregate.

The Tunisian giants, who had already claimed a narrow 1-0 advantage in the first leg in Rades, produced a massive performance to win 3-2 in Cairo!

Florian Danho and Mohamed Amine Tougai scored two goals in a space of 10 minutes for Esperance after Al Ahly took a first half lead through Mahmoud “Trezeguet’ Hassan.

Hamza Jelassi, after scoring in his own net to give Al Ahly hope at 2-2, ended the Egyptian dreams with a late dagger, heading home the winning goal in the 94th minute!

The other semifinal will see an all Moroccan affair as AS FAR take on RS Berkane for a place in the final.

AS FAR produced the shocking result of the round, eliminating defending champions Pyramids!

Pyramids looked in good stead after a 1-1 draw on the road and were huge favourites to get the job done at home.

Reda Slim gave the Moroccans a halftime lead before later turning provider for captain Rabie El Harimat to double the advantage.

Fiston Mayele pulled a goal back for the Egyptian side, but damage had already been caused!

RS Berkane on the other hand, needed a late winner by Munir Chouiar, to win 1-0 against Al Hilal in Kigali and progress 2-1 on aggregate.

Chouiar had missed earlier from the spot, but Al Hilal failed to capitalise in a closely contested tie that had seen the Sudanese giants pick a draw in the first leg.
