City Oilers have extended their perfect start in the National Basketball League after a deserved 80-43 win over Kampala Rockets on Sunday at Lugogo.
The Oilers led 22-14 after the opening quarter and later limited Rockets to 9 and 8 points in second and third quarters respectively to lead 57-31 heading into the last quarter and never looked back.
Fayed Baale and Joel Lukoji led with 14 and 11 points respectively while Titus Lual added 15 rebounds in the win.
Pauti Ozias Kikomba had a double double of 20 points and 13 rebounds but the effort proved not enough.
The Rockets were out-rebounded 57-50 in a game they turned over the ball 28 times and collected just one point off the bench!
It’s the third win in from as many games for the Oilers who earlier beat Namuwongo Blazers and UPDF Tomahawks.
