Uganda Premier League side SC Villa has unveiled experienced defender Farouk ‘Musota’ Matovu as their first signing of the mid-season transfer window.
The veteran centre-back has joined on a two-year deal, joining after a stint at Entebbe UPPC.
Matovu brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having previously featured for Express, URA, KCCA among other teams.
“I am loving everything here at Villa,” Matovu said, as quoted by the club website.
“The coaches have shown faith in me by giving me this opportunity, and I am ready to repay that trust. I am optimistic about playing here for the next two years.”
Matovu is expected to further strengthen Villa’s defence that has not conceded a single goal in their last three league games.
