FUFA Big League side Kigezi HomeBoyz have signed Ugandan international striker Henry Kitegenyi on loan from Mbarara City FC until the end of the season.
Kitegenyi becomes the club’s sixth signing of the current transfer window, joining after Dominic Abonga, Julius Barasa, Edrine Opaala, Eric Junior Akol and Mike Walaga.
The experienced forward has previously played for several top clubs in Uganda, including Vipers SC and Plascon FC.
“I am happy to join this team, a very unique team with big ambitions and I am very happy to be part of the stories that are about to be written,” Kitegenyi is quoted.
“I am going to give my best to accomplish the target. Thank you to everyone that made this deal happen.”
He will wear the number nine shirt and joins the squad immediately as the team prepares for Sunday’s important match against Ntugasaze FC in the capital.
Kigezi HomeBoyz are currently joint top of the FUFA Big League table with 29 points after 17 matches.
