JKL Lady Dolphins will be eyeing their first win of the season as they take on JT Lady Jaguars in the National Basketball League on Friday at Lugogo.
This, is the repeat of last year’s final where JKL reigned supreme for their third straight league crown.
But the defending champions started the new campaign on a low note, falling 65-73 against KCCA Leopards last week.
A slow start saw them trail by 19 points at halftime and never recovered.
Evelyn Nakiyingi scored a double double of 16 points and 12 rebounds but it proved not enough for a side who are playing the season without last year’s MVP Hope Akello who moved to Morocco.
JT Lady Jaguars on the other hand, got their campaign off to a good start, dismantling Pearl Queens 74-29 last Friday in their opener.
Brenda Kayaga and Mary Priscillar Nambogo had 17 and 12 points respectively.
On Wednesday, JT Lady Jaguars beat Victoria She Crocs 58-41 at Kira for their second win of the season and will look to extend their perfect start.
