Express FC were without the Uganda Premier League leading joint top scorer Muhammad Kagawa Ssenoga as they were walloped 4-0 by Maroons in Luzira.
Emmanuel Obua scored a first half brace while Raymond Walugembe and Brian Nkuubi were also on target for the hosts.
Kagawa is in Rwanda ahead of a proposed move to Rayon Sports.
The Rwandese giants posted on their social media accounts that the Ugandan is training with the club.
Kagawa is still contracted with Express, having joined the Red Eagles this year in January on a two-year contract as a free agent after ending his spell at Wakiso Giants.
He made his Uganda Premier League debut with Tooro United and has also featured for SC Villa and KCCA.
The defeat at Luzira is the second in a row for Express having also lost to Entebbe UPPC previously.
The side has slipped to ninth with 12 points, just two above the relegation zone.
Maroons on the other hand, climbed to seventh with 15 points after recording their fifth win of the season.
