KCCA FC will hope to maintain their momentum when they visit Buhimba United Saints on Monday at Midigo in Yumbe.

The Lugogo-based side returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over BUL, ending a two-game losing run against NEC and Entebbe UPPC.

In the reverse fixture at Lugogo, KCCA FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win, thanks to Roger Mugisha’s strike in December.

“In games like this, it is about showing up and fighting for every 50/50 chance. Buhimba is fighting for their lives, so we must be better and be clinical,” said KCCA co-coach Jackson Magera.

KCCA have signed Axel Mezui and Kennedy Muserero, in the mid-season transfer window, with the latter part of the team in Hoima.

However, Mezui has pending paperwork and thus did not make the trip to Hoima.

Magera said that the two will add so much to the team’s depth and tactical flexibility.

Attacking midfielder Bright Anukani is set for his season debut in Uganda Premier League while assistant Captain Derrick Nsibambi is still ruled out of action due to a knee injury.

Buhimba United Saints on the other hand, are expected to hand debut to new signings Simon Baligeya, Davis Ssali and Musa Ssali.

KCCA FC currently sits 5th on the log, while the hosts, Buhimba United Saints, are fighting for survival in 14th position.
