*Kitara 2-1 UPDF
*Calvary 0-1 BUL
*NEC 1-0 Lugazi
NEC FC returned to winning ways thanks to a 1-0 victory over Lugazi on Wednesday at Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
Innocent Media scored the only goal of the game, heading home after a good cross from Joseph Sseremba in the second half.
The hosts were good value for the result and could have scored earlier but Emmanuel Kulanga couldn’t find the target from a distance while Lugazi goalkeeper Juma Mutebi had some good stops.
Mutebi denied Muzamir Mutyaba from a freekick and was also alert with Sseremba’s attempt after collecting from Paul Mucureezi.

Lugazi had some chances at the other end, Derrick Mwanje came close from Freedom Mungudit’s delivery while Ashraf Mulindi was denied by Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.
It’s a big sigh of relief for coach Badru Kaddu after his side had gone four matches without a win including a goalless draw at UPDF before the league took a break.
NEC were without Titus Ssematimba and Charles Waibi who are set to join Mustafa Kizza at Nairobi United.
The defeat left Lugazi second from the bottom with 10 points, spelling a poor start for coach Simon Peter Mugerwa on his debut.
