*Mbarara City Vs Calvary – Kamwenge
Police FC will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Lugazi FC at Kamwokya on Thursday as the second round of the Uganda Premier League gets underway.
The Cops ended the first round on a disappointing note, going two matches without a win. They lost to Vipers before settling for a goalless draw against URA.
The results left Police in sixth with 28 points after 15 games, and now trail leaders Vipers who have a game in hand by eight points.
Matia Lule’s charges however bounced back to winning ways in Uganda Cup with a deserved 3-0 victory away to minnows Mairye United with Umar Kasumba and Charles Bbaale’s brace sending the side to Round of 32.
Police will however be without striker Derrick Maviiri, who picked up an injury in the defeat to Vipers.
Denis Kalanzi is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards, while right back Tony Kiwalazi remains a doubt after suffering a knock in the same game.
The first round meeting at Najjembe ended 1-1 with Emmanuel Mugume leveling for Police after Abdul Kalanzi had given the hosts a lead.
