The Public Relations Affiliation of Uganda (PRAU) launched the PRAU Run at NRG Radio, aimed toward elevating UGX 800 million to set up a house for Uganda’s PR group. The PRAU Governing Council flagged off the fundraising with a contribution of UGX100 million.
This 12 months’s PRAU Run, held underneath the theme Run for the PRAU House varieties a part of a sequence of actions the Affiliation has lined as much as have a good time its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since its founding in 1976.
Launching the 2026 PRAU Run, Ronald Beinomugisha, PRAU Vice President, stated, “As we have a good time 50 years, this run is greater than a health occasion. It’s a press release of our unity and imaginative and prescient for the way forward for our Affiliation, therefore the proceeds will assist to arrange a house that displays our progress, resilience, and dedication to PR Excellence in Public Relations.”
Beinomugisha additional revealed that together, we’re making a legacy for the PR career in Uganda, and admired all those that participated in earlier editions, together with the sponsors and well-wishers.
He urged PR professionals, college students, company companions, and communication fanatics to participate within the 5km and 10km routes via Kololo on twenty second Could 2026, with Sidelines Bar and Restaurant as the place to begin.
PRAU paid-up members will entry the package at UGX 40,000, and Non-PRAU members at UGX 50,000.
Along with the Run, PRAU concluded its fiftieth Annual Common Assembly in March 2026, throughout which it launched digital membership IDs and outlined actions for the fiftieth Anniversary celebration within the final half of the 12 months.
