The Uganda Premier League has confirmed the postponement of the matchday twelve fixture between URA FC and Entebbe UPPC.
The game was originally scheduled for January eighth at Nakivubo Stadium.
However, URA FC are currently out of the country, in Zanzibar, where they are participating in the Mapinduzi Cup.
In a statement, League Chief Executive Officer Bernard Bainamani said URA FC made a formal request for the postponement. The match has now been rescheduled to January 18th with kickoff at 3pm at Nakivubo.
All other matchday twelve fixtures, which kick off on Tuesday, January 6th, remain unchanged.
URA beat Mlandege FC 1-0, a goal by Fred Amaku, to get their Mapinduzi Cup off to a good note on New Year’s Eve, and will return to action on Saturday, January 3 against Singida Black Stars.
URA are 11th in the Uganda Premier League, with just two wins from 11 games, a poor run that saw the club part ways with Head coach Alex Isabirye to pave way for Hussein Mbalangu.
