City Oilers extend unbeaten run Oilers remaining perfect in the National Basketball League after a 76-43 victory over JKL Dolphins on Sunday at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Oilers led 24-06 after the first quarter and never looked back in a game they won by 33 points.
Joel Lukoji (15), Rogers Dauna (13) and Edgar Munaaba (12) scored in double digits while Joel Kayiira added 11 rebounds for the 10-time league winners.
Shane Birungi had 11 points while Elvis Mpeti contributed 9 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort for JKL Dolphins.
Andrew Tendo’s side won the rebounding battle 49-40, and collected 29 points off their bench in a game JKL missed 18 of their 21 three-point attempts.
It’s six wins for Andrew Tendo’s side as they remain unbeaten this season after previous wins against Nam Blazers, UPDF, Kampala Rockets, Sommet and KCCA Panthers.
JKL Dolphins remain on two wins in eight matches and will need an improved showing going forward if they are to survive relegation this time.
