Rezlife Saints kept their unbeaten run in the National Basketball League with a 73–57 victory over Kampala Rockets on Saturday at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.
The Saints led 23-09 after the first quarter, and lead they never relinquished on the way to a comfortable victory.
Michael Otieno recorded a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Saints. Edrine Ekau added 15 points, while Elvis Sentongo and Rin Tueny Mabor added 13 and 12 points in the win.
The result marks Rezlife Saints’ fifth win in as many games this season. The Lubowa-based side had earlier defeated UMU Flames, Victoria Crocs, KCCA Panthers and UPDF Tomahawks.
For Kampala Rockets, it was a fourth loss of the season, having previously fallen to City Oilers, JKL Dolphins and Victoria Crocs.
Toussaint Mampuya led the Rockets with 16 points while Mpiya Juf and Michael Ssekibenga managed 12 and 10 points respectively.
The Saints edged the rebounding battle 50-47 while Kampala Rockets committed 26 turnovers.
